Song of a Broken Angel*

She sits a room with white walls.
There is a broken mirror hanging from each one.
No matter where she turns she can see herself
But only through the broken glass.

She doesn't have a memory of the world outside
To her this room is the only heaven.
No one can hear her.
All she has are her thoughts.

Everyday she prays that someone will come rescue her
But time is closing and she has lost all hope.
People used to come see her.
People used to care.

No one knows half of the pain she has been through
No one heard her cries or cared.
When she had visitors all they did was laugh
They accused her of lies.

She doesn't remember what its like to be loved.
The only memory she has of love is the trick her mind played on her.
To her there is no trust.
Only promises broken for another persons pleasure.

Every night she cries herself to sleep.
Where she dreams of a perfect world
She dreams of a family.
All she wants is to be normal, but that will never happen.

She hides behind her mask.
No one can see her scars and bruses that way.
She will never let another person know they got to her.
She is selfish in that way

To most she is just another pretty face.
But she is more, a fallen angel
Forgotten to everyone
Walked all over by people who cant see her true beauty

Now she sits in a room with white walls and no escape
The world outside will never know her story.
Her only memory left behind will be broken glass
And her song, the song of a broken angel left behind in all her glory*
